El Paso Herald, January 22, 1913: Setting aside the rumors that he was to be traded to the New York American league team, Napoleon Lajoie, the Cleveland American league second baseman, has signed a contract with the local team.
It’s a good thing too. Would have been really awkward if Lajoie had been playing against the Naps.
