19 for ‘19: What does Yu Darvish have in store for Year 2?

Next up: What can the Cubs expect from Yu Darvish?

Yu Darvish’s inaugural season in Chicago obviously didn’t go well. But despite a minor blister issue, Year 2 seems to be off to a much better start.

Darvish has been different this spring - from his physical shape (he’s added more muscle) to his health to his confidence and comfortability.

If worse comes to worse, Arby’s is hiring.

I'm not sure slicer-intensive employment's the best idea for a guy who's already injury-prone.

There used to be an Arby's on the east side of Ashland just south of Belmont/Lincoln. I saw Kerry Wood in there once. He wasn't working, though. He was eating at Arby's because, you know, Kerry Wood is a man of the people.

El Birria Huentitan, makers of the finest burritos I've ever had, used to be on Ashland just south of Belmont/Lincoln but on the west side. Alas, they went out of business long before Kerry Wood arrived or we could have at least saved him from Arby's. (Memory being what it is, it's possible they were on Lincoln.) If you're wondering why such a great burrito place would go out of business, it had to do with them apparently being as good at laundering the money of the coke-dealing owners.

Wouldn't that be a good reason to stay in business?

Doesn't say much about the quality of the burritos if they were "so good" at launderng they got caught.

I got a turkey sandwich from the Arby's drive-thru once, thinking it'd be a safe option. It was so disgusting, I threw it out the window after the first bite.

I remember enjoying their mozzarella sticks, though it's very hard to mess up breaded cheese.

Sounds to me like this very much depends on what you pick off the menu.

Oops, that was supposed to say "NOT being as good..."
