Great defensive play by the Cardinals there. Getting Napoli hurt there has to reduce the Rangers' run expectancy more than any out ever could.

When did Holliday become an adventure in the OF?

I didn't watch him that closely as a Rockie, and I remember he had a decent reputation when he came to the Cardinals...

But having watched about 98% of his cardinal games, he's looked shaky since day 1... he's awkward chasing balls, takes weird routes, mis-times his jumps, and has trouble, seemingly, with his depth perception. In short, he's not a good left fielder.

Yeah, that ankle is ###### for today and tomorrow. It might not be a long-term issue, but I have busted my ankle like that a time or three and it has kept me off my feet for a few weeks.

Is the ankle hurt his back or front foot when hitting? If it's his back foot, goodbye power.

I don't know MM1f, I've seen ankles do weird stuff and be fine. I've seen them completely blow out without it looking bad when it happened. he might be better off as a catcher, it'll force him to keep it loose.

Not a "brand new" ad, but did Brian Wilson only recently get himself inserted into the Stand^4Cancer thing? I completely missed him the first eleventy-billion times I saw it.

He has a decent statistical reputation, but his actual quality isn't what any casual fan would call good or average. The problem is the average fielder in left is a poor fielder by the eyes(same to some extent with right) teams are willing to punt a lot on defense for the offense, especially in the NL(I imagine).

The call went my way, and it might have been right, but I find it hard to believe that the ump had the right angle on that play to make that call.

that kid most likely pulled his punch. He was not really looking at the LF IIRC. He simply tossed a few feet clearo of the fence where no one was.. . I thnk the kid might have had second thoughts at the moment of truth

great use of the running game... there is no way that a double play would have happened on that particular bounce, but if the ball hits the ground a foot sooner, without running it's an easy double play.
