One way to make this fun exhibition game even better is to put natural sound on the S.A.P. channel.

Oh, I just checked it's unintelligble muffled Spanish, I think. The audio is so muddy they could just as soon do without it. The fans have spoken!

It's unfortunate that they broadcast Chipper Jones' boring pregame speech, but Ichiro's profanity-laden tirades that inspired the AL to dominate the AS game aren't available anywhere.

But speaking of her, she has such a weird (not in a good way) body that it surprises me she's so popular. She has nice breasts, but he has no waist, hips, or butt.

For the record, Gamingboy brought this up last night and the evidence is pretty weak. Looks mostly like speculation and TMZ wishcasting.

EDIT - Even if it's true, she's probably dumping him after this inning.

Baseball should track extraordinary plays that fielders can bank, and then credit against errors they might later commit.

Yeah, they could add and subtract them for a number of plays above average. Maybe call it something like Plus/Minus. And then they could convert it to runs, and call it Defensive Runs Saved.

But they'd probably #### everything up when it came to accounting for defensive shifts...

This is yet another data point in my ongoing theory that some of the best pitchers struggle in the first before they settle down. Now, that doesn't do much good in an All-Star Game when you only pitch for mabye one inning, but still...

I wish we had another look at the Fox Box on the Kung Fu Panda hit. The curve was up but it really bit, and it looks as if he golfed it when it was out of the zone.
