Don't think so. He's been at ESPN while doing the occasional clinic or Futures Game coaching stint, I think.

More or less that's true. The Japanese-descent players the ones who generally have been playing baseball the longest, so have had more time to learn how to pitch well.
Yeah, it seems like a large percentage of these guys are from certain provinces. None of them seem to be from Rio, mainly Sao Paulo and such.
