crooners were all the range with the young women back in the day
The rise of teenagers (and even young adults) as drivers of pop culture (that is, with disposable income) hadn't occurred before the 1950s. Before World War II, pop music was driven by adults, probably by ages 30-50 or so.
Next checklist should include:
Barry Manilow referenced []
Whatever, people. Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire and pretty much everyone except ol' Uncle Frankie himself take a back seat to Scott Walker anyway.
You misspelled Thom Yorke. Or Peter Gabriel. Or something.
Shooty, you do not win. Even Sam Cooke takes a back seat to Nat King Cole.
Where do you think they got it?
Bobby Soxers!
What was the factoid? I was too busy trying to figure out what Joe Buck was talking about with Gerald Laird and must have missed it.
We had it better, too, because they didn't mention the opposing Cy winner.
Might as well give in, it's the dominate practice of the time. It begs the question of what other errors will creep into our vernacular.
Yeah, I'm of the "rise and raise your middle finger" persuasion. I cannot stand this terrible song.
Just sayin ......
not trying to be king grammar but i think you meant dominant
I hate the song, but that isn't my problem with it. You just don't afford the same level of respect to some random ass song as you do the National Anthem(regardless of your opinion on the quality/agreement of the Star Spangled Banner).
Sandoval's due up fourth; they just want to witness history.
I was joking. I seem to be seeing people using "dominate" for "dominant."
I think SF seems to consistently have excellent singers for sporting events.

How many names overlap?
Giants
Cardinals
Can't think of another one.
Way back when there were more....
you missed the chicago p7ssies
I think Harveys account has been hacked.
you don't say......
Because when your opponent is down, you step on his neck. Hard.
just the gin talking
and it's pretty sassy gin i must say
You're making me thirsty. Scotch time!
I want to see him start ranking on the Minnesota Vikings next.
Wait a minute! Is Davey Johnson bringing in Henry Rodriguez with the Nats up 1-0 in the 6th???
I sorta doubt they'd go to Timmah two days in a row, particularly if he went more than an inning the first night. Use him for several tonight and then it's all-hands for Game Two.
Who cares. Hit them hard, very hard, right now. Make them feel it. Don't give them the satisfaction of scoring some late-inning garbage runs.
This is the first game of the World Series. It matters a very great deal how this game turns out.
Scotchy scotch scotch.
did you get that attitude from your dominatrix?
The best since Ralph Judoon pitched for the '34 Indians.
No, but I'm intrigued by your ideas, and I'd like to subscribe to your newsletter.
iif this game doesn't livenup i figure i will hit the hay shortly
Careful. In Wisconsin a dominatrix is a cow that won't give milk.
