I believe there is no rule against it
I don't know much about it, so you're probably right. One question - is there real thought in the selection process? I'll be impressed if there are average players who have won the award and not just stars and superstars.
Worthy, no doubt. Be tough to top the guy with all the hits and homers, though. (assuming it ends tonight, that is.)
But he was the best player on his team.
