2012 World Series Game 4 OMNICHATTER

Remember the 2012 season? It started over in Japan, and, like, it was between the Mariners and the Athletics, and nobody really gave a darn, since OBVIOUSLY neither of them would be in the playoff picture? And remember when Matt Cain threw that perfect game, and the Orioles made the playoffs, and Josh Hamilton went deep four times in one night? And the Red Sox drama! And… and…

Well, this might be it… OR WILL IT?!?

San Francisco Giants (Cain) @ Detroit Tigers (Scherzer). SF leads 3-0.

I was just going to say that Garcia looks a lot like Cabrera did back in, say, 2003. Buck beat me to it.

And then Buck said Garcia was on deck when he was actually the one at the plate, and the camera was right on him, and Cabrera was on deck.

No lead changes; this game already has two, plus another rally to tie. The Reds got the go-ahead run up twice in the ninth, sure. Every batter in this ninth inning is the go-ahead run, as was every batter in the eighth.

Game 3 of the NLDS was the leader before this one, with Game 5 a reasonably close second.

When I was about 12, I hit a kid with a pitch exactly like that. It broke his finger. It was really horrible. Definitely the worst I ever felt while playing.
