2013 World Baseball Classic pools finalized and schedule announced, Beltran, Miguel Cabrera, Cano, Adrian Gonzalez, Mauer, Molina, Morneau and Wright among players confirming early to represent their country

More of the players will be confirmed in the coming days and weeks. Provisional rosters need to be in by mid-January (qualifiers and logistics pushed that deadline back a bit).

I received an email from MLB.com about tickets being available, with all sites listed. But only the AT&T games had a working link. The tickets are pricey--I wonder how they compare to Giants playoff tickets. They range from $151 to $420.

Those are three game prices. You have to buy a full strip so the per game price is actually $50-$140. Still pricey but not quite as unreasonable as it would appear at first blush.

I was able to get access to the Miami tickets as well. The tickets there range from $90-$1,500 ($480 for the highest non-luxury box seats) for the strip of six games. It's not obvious from the way the sites are set up that the tickets are for all games. It appears that the individual team sites are what drives the engines for ticket sales.

Ah, that makes much more sense.

Last time it was like this too. After a month or two of only the strip packages being available single-game tickets came up and, while still not cheap, they are far more affordable.
