So, relying on my expert prognostication skills that I demonstrated with the AL East, I'm going to declare the AL West over. Texas' Magic Number is 20, seems fair to me. Everything else is still wildly up for grabs though. Seems like we might be destined for some Game 163's, even before the Play-In game.

If the Yanks, Rays, O's, Chisox, Tigers, A's and Angels all finish with identical records...just say to hell with it and automatically advance Texas to the World Series again.

I cannot imagine the number of games they would have to play to sort that out. Bud would have an aneurysm.

No one credible that I can find is tweeting about Pierzynski, but the noise is out there.

It's possible more people are talking about it but are misspelling "Pierzynski" - I'm searching the twitterverse by his name.

Well, first there would be a three way tie breaker series for the east, and a 1 game playoff for the central. Than it gets spooky. Even Wikipedia doesn't know how they would do a 5 way tiebreak series.
