I'm rooting for the following:

LAA 17-12
DET 17-13
TBR 16-13
CWS 16-14
BAL 15-15
OAK 13-17
NYY 12-18

which would put all seven teams at 88-74, with two teams in the Central and three teams in the East tied.

Selig's head would explode.

In case #2, if the World Series goes seven games, could game 7 take place on election night?

Of course not. You can't mess with the playoff tv schedule. They'll just play multi-city triple headers to break all the ties.

EDIT: and while you're at it, why not TEX 10-20?

Looks like in that scenario, the tiebreakers would continue through Sunday.

I wonder if they'd put the second travel day back into the LDS in that scenario, since the tv schedule would already be ruined.

Eight teams just seemed so unlikely.
