Andy Pettitte will make first start for Yankees Sunday against Mariners

“A Sunday well-membered brings a week of misremembered.”

Yankees general manager Brian Cashman announced Tuesday afternoon that Andy Pettitte will make his first post-retirment start for the Bombers on Sunday against the Mariners at Yankee Stadium.

Pettitte has made three minor league starts, his coming last on Sunday with the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees against the Pawtucket Red Sox where hee gave up four runs (three earned) in five innings. In his three minor those starts he went 0-2 with a 3.71 ERA in 17 innings. He struck out 13 and walked three.
