Angels To Sign Doug Fister

The Angels are in agreement with free-agent right-hander Doug Fister on a Major League contract, reports SB Nation’s Chris Cotillo (via Twitter). Fister is a client of PSI Sports Management.

As of last week, the 33-year-old Fister was said to be close to signing, and Cotillo listed the Angels as one of five clubs in the mix for him at that time.

Greatest trade in MLB history: Fister for Furbush

July 30, 2011: Fister traded by the Seattle Mariners with David Pauley to the Detroit Tigers for a player to be named later, Francisco Martinez (minors), Charlie Furbush and Casper Wells. The Detroit Tigers sent Chance Ruffin (August 17, 2011) to the Seattle Mariners to complete the trade.

Years ago we tried to buy a house in Oakland on Shafter Ave. If it had happened, I would have laughed every single day.

Someone on Halos Heaven opined that they can't put Fister and Pujols next to each other in the locker room. The declarative - "Fister Pujols" is much worse than the adjective/noun combo - "Puols Fister".....

But both are pretty gross.

I think that's what Pillar called Motte.
