AP: Brewers RHP Ohka could be done for season with hamstring injury

Milwaukee Brewers right-hander Tomo Ohka could be done for the season after leaving his start Friday night against the Washington Nationals because of a strained right hamstring.

Ohka was removed for a pinch-runner after hurting himself while beating out an infield single in the top of the third.
...
Brewers manager Ned Yost said he thought the injury would sideline Ohka for about two weeks. Milwaukee finishes up the regular season Oct. 1 at St. Louis.

Carlos Villanueva came in to start the third inning for Milwaukee and earned his first major league win in the Brewers’ 5-2 victory.  Yost said Villanueva probably would slide into Ohka’s spot in the rotation.

Ohka must think he’s the little speedster now, since he began hitting left-handed - legging out infield hits and all that.
Villanueva’s retiring the first 16 hitters he faced (before an error) took the sting out of Ohka’s departure, though.

Ohka, who missed 2½ months with a slight rotator cuff tear earlier in the season, won't recover from the hamstring strain quickly enough to pitch again.

In all likelihood, Ohka pitched his last game for the Brewers. He is a free agent after the season, and the combination of his salary ($4.53 million) and prior shoulder problems works against him returning in 2007.

"Next year, I don't know," said Ohka, 4-5 with a 4.82 ERA in 18 starts. "I hope (to return to the Brewers)."

So, who's gonna be the Brewers #3 starter in the playoffs then?

Maybe this guy VillaMyNameisMuerteFuerte can step in...
