AP: Tigers use 11-run inning to beat Rangers 19-6

Granted, it was against the Rangers, but still impressive.

Miguel Cabrera hit a three-run homer and Carlos Guillen had three of his five RBIs in an 11-run sixth inning, and the Detroit Tigers routed the Texas Rangers 19-6 Wednesday night.

Jacque Jones also homered as Detroit scored its most runs this season and handed Texas its sixth straight loss.

The Tigers led 7-6 going into the sixth, when they had their biggest inning since scoring 11 in the sixth inning on April 23, 2004, against the Cleveland Indians.

How many articles will we see tonight/tomorrow proclaiming Curtis Granderson the early front-runner for AL MVP based solely upon his team's scoring 19 runs in his first game back after struggling so mightily at the start of the season?

As a die-hard Rangers fan, this is about as low as I can remember things getting.

And there have been some low times in Arlington.

You can always give up 30 in a game.

News is leaking that Mendoza was pitching hurt, but didn't admit to it until after the game. Rangers officials are reportedly "very angry."

Jason Stark, please pick up the white courtesy phone.

With that little outburst the Tigers are now over five runs per game, and fourth in the majors in runs scored.

I knew that it was silly for anyone to panic so early with that lineup.

Now if their pitching/defense can stop being so user-friendly, they'll be right back in that thing.

Only because he got rocked. With a six-inning, two-run outing, the Texas brass is tripping over themselves to praise his guts and grit.

Wait, isn't Nolan Ryan on the record saying he'd pop a bunch of Advil for his aching back and then go out there and get 'em?

And #### me for leaving Granderson on the bench in my roto league.

Yes, poor judgment by 24-year-old rookies is what has this team in the sub-basement.
