Okay, uh, since it appears we are doing this every day, I guess I’ll try to do this until somebody tells me to stop (I really should check my e-mail)...
Anyway, full slate of 15 games today, ranging from two 2:10 ET starts (KC-CWS and TEX-HOU) to the late games at 10.

Jose Altuve - maybe not. Competition includes Robinson Cano, Dustin Pedroia, Ben Zobrist and Ian Kinsler, plus surprises.
Justin Maxwell or Chris Carter - I think there will be way too much OF competition, unless Carter hits like 15 HR by July.
Bud Norris - If no one else on the team makes a definitive case, it's likely him unless he stinks up the joint
Jose Veras - could have a handful of superficial saves by then, with a low era
Jason Castro - possible, if he does well, and Weiters, Santana and/or Napoli are hurt, or stink. Mauer will almost certainly start.
Dark Horse: Erik Bedard - off to a great start!
After watching Veras pitch for a couple of years, I believe this is an impossibility.
Benoit pitched to Mauer and Morneau in the 8th and Coke came in for the 9th, I think the committee was non-existent.
Yup. First pitch ball, 7 straight swinging strikes, pop-up.
(I love MLB network and how it jumps around.)
Lets see what Wei Yin Chen brings this season.
It's possible, but usually the starting pitchers at the All-Star Game are there because they are established stars or have stats that put them on pace to be Cy Young candidates, so Norris or Harrell or whoever would have to have an ERA around 2 to get picked. (like Sale last year)
If a team has nobody particularly worthy, I think a "competent" starter is the LEAST likely to be taken as the one token representative.
On the other hand, Kevin Correia went two years ago, and he had an ERA of 4.01 and wasn't even the only Pirate at the game, so anything can happen.
It would be great if he keeps working to actually develop, I grow nervous he's not going to.
He's pretty much done, just like all the rest of his decrepit, broken-down old teammates.
Stranger still, Wei Yin Chen, one of the most extreme fly ball pitcher last season, has gotten almost all his outs on the ground so far.
If Kuroda is significantly hurt, this Yankees team is officially starting to repay Old Scratch.
#1 pick here we come wooohooo
Seriously, the Yankees should just consider Old Hoss Radbourning Sabathia at this point.
"Okay, I never wanted to do this, but it appears I have no choice..."
"...Get me Jamie Moyer on the phone."
I'd guess it depends on the hitter. And aren't fly balls more likely to go the other way? I don't even pretend to be a genius on BTF, and I straight up don't know!
Sandy Alderson says #### you.
Gary Cohen: Did you hear the ovation Teufel (3B coach) got on opening day? The '86 Mets, they love you guys.
Keith Hernandez: Well... We can understand that.
Also, thanks for that throw, whoever.
Boy, is Murphy slow.
This is fun.
Was: High
Is now: Really high
EDIT: cokes to the farsighted Dock and Eso.
Now you know how I felt a half hour ago when I saw that some guy named Eppley was pitching for them.
UNC product. He's a pretty standard college righty with low upside but enough polish to function as useful depth. Kuroda is injured and Phelps pitched on Monday, so Warren, who has been a starter in the minors, is the default long guy. He's not especially good, even for a low upside righty.
I know the Cubs Rondon is Hector, a rule 5 from the Indians, but I'm fairly sure I'll be calling him Bruce all year... Maybe when the Tigers acquire Carlos Marmol for Castellanos, the teams can include a flip of Rondons to make all right in my mind.
Well, the 3-5 on Opening Day was two infield singles and a bunt. At least the double tonight reached the outfield!
Well it's only two games into the season and all, but I congratulate the Baltimore Orioles on their AL East title.
Hey, the Red Sox are also very likely to be 2-0 at this point!
Fear the scrubs!
That's got to be a record.
