Atlanta Journal Constitution - Smoltz concedes first start of season is in jeopardy

Bad news for Braves and John Smoltz fans. It’s only a delay, but it could be a sign of things to come. What’ll be interesting is to see how he “recovers”: in the majors in the bullpen, in the minors rehabbing or in extended spring training. If it’s simiply a matter of rebuilding his stamia, the Braves should try option 1.
