Bad News Bears Remake Actress Sammi Kane Kraft Killed in Car Crash

Real-life athlete Sammi Kane Kraft, whose baseball skills and 70 mph fastball landed her a role in the 2005 remake of Bad News Bears, died in a car accident in Los Angeles Tuesday, E! News confirms.

She was 20.

As the article notes, Kraft was a legitimate baseball talent as a kid, having played in the Junior Olympics. A sad end to a promising life.

this was over a week ago. i don't know why it didn't occur to me to try to post it, there was an obit in the LA times.

Yet another distasteful remark in response to a tragedy. If you're not going to come up with something more thoughtful, something insightful, something more appropriate to the situation, then why post a comment at all? These remarks are not funny, not a single one of them. Enough already.
