Baltimore Orioles to put playoff tickets on sale

The Baltimore Orioles, for the first time in 15 years, are getting ready to sell playoff tickets.

The Orioles plan to send out invoices to season-ticket holders Thursday for the 2012 playoffs. Single-game playoff tickets for non-season ticket holders will go on sale in mid-September, said Greg Bader, a spokesman for the Orioles.

It’s all happening.

Sounds like a nice interest free loan that actually accrues interest for the Orioles.

Since they'd be in the playoffs if the season ended today, that makes sense.

I suppose if they collapse over the next two weeks, they may cancel the sale, but if they can keep pace for a little bit, there's not that much time left in the season. This could happen.

Let's not start sucking each others' dicks quite yet.

That's not what they do in the playoffs...

Then why do they call the Yankees "those damn cvcksuckers"?

Say, if they do get eliminated, do you they let you keep the phantom ticket? I know somebody who had tickets to the 1989 World Series in Toronto and he kept the ticket.

I still have my 2001 Phillies' playoff tickets somewhere.

The Orioles are getting clobbered tonight and if they don't stage a comeback they'll fall a half game behind the 5th seed tonight.

Traderdave, that's my favorite movie quote to trot out when things start looking close to done-and-dusted...

I have my 1997 Orioles World Series tickets.
