Barry Bonds supports Lance Armstrong

Enough! He’s taken the wheel truing stand already!

Baseball’s all-time home run king Barry Bonds fully supports Lance Armstrong.

“I think if it wasn’t for him, U.S. cycling wouldn’t even be here,” Bonds told TMZ as he was leaving BOA steakhouse Tuesday night in Hollywood. “He was the greatest cyclist of all.”

...Ironically, Bonds has been fighting similar allegations.

Last year, he was convicted of felony obstruction of justice for lying to a grand jury during a federal investigation, testifying he never knowingly took any illegal steroids.

Bonds is appealing the decision.

And these days when he’s not seen in a courtroom, Bonds has taken Armstrong’s passion of cycling.

Bonds was not convicted of lying about using steroids. He was convicted of rambling a few minuted before testifying truthfully. But no matter. Most of the country believes he was convicted of using steroids.

And Donald Trump supports Mitt Romney. Birds of a feather flock together.

Oh man, that is perfect.

OTOH Humbert could always use the John Profumo defense: "At least it was heterosexual."

Plenty of other baseball players were dirty at the same time as Bonds, but none of them did the things he did. Was he dirty better? Or was he simply greater?

Probably both, and there's merit to both of those.

This should never be allowed.

...Ironically,

I don't think that word means what the author thinks it means. It's precisely because Bonds is in a similarly situation that he's rooting for Armstrong.

Andy Pettitte had trouble counting before he testified "truthfully".

I love the media when they use the word "allegation". It has become their go to word for anyone they think might sue them for taking a side on an issue. I am awaiting the day when they start using it for describing historical figures such as Henry Ford, who "allegedly" was anti-semetic.

The unhelpfulness of the endorsement amused me, too... but what possible answer could Bonds have given to the TMZ guy that would make us say, "Oh, that's a sensible reply"?
