While I realise that the Trachsel and Williams do have a right to that money, I think the last thing that the players need to do is launch a lawsuit over what amounts to a couple of weeks of interest, especially if they want to avoid accusations of insane greed from the mainstream press.
The fact that political cartoonists, who nowadays are carefully not to really shock their readers, can make light of Ice Ted and his boy Henry John Henry indicates that most people don't have problems with the treatment of the story.
