Not a bad list of boy band names either.

Buster, Conor, Sergio, Madison and Angel could be the cheerleaders for the San Francisco Ferries Baseketball team.

I don't think Tim Alderson qualifies as 'thin'. He doesn't have a top of the rotation upside of Bumgarner, but he was pretty impressive in A+ ball last season. Gillaspie should move quick. Ehire Adrianza is a total TOOLS pick.

Good ones. I might take the O's just because I think Wieters is quite a bit better than any other prospect currently.

Florida with Maybin, Stanton, Dominguez, and Morrison isn't bad either. Four's a bit of an arbitrary cutoof, but if we use it, I'd take

Bal > SF > Atl > Fla, with the note that the first two systems are exactly four deep, while the second two are a bit deeper.

Okay, so the A's are probably a stretch just in the top 4. But I like the depth in their top 10. I'd say all 10 have a reasonable shot at contributing in the majors.

It depends on Inoa and, honestly, none of us have a clue about him. Is Cunningham #4? I love Cunningham, but I think Cardenas or Chris Carter or Mazzaro get more prospect love. The Orioles probably have the best top 4 because of Wieters.

I went by BA's top 4. Cunningham is probably in my personal top 4 -- very underrated -- but Inoa probably isn't. I'd dump him for Cardenas or Carter, probably.

I'm trying to temper my expectations for Cunningham. I'm hoping he becomes a Ray Lankford kind of player which is unfair to Cunningham. That's a tall order.

Yeah, my fanboy projection system sees a good chance of something like .280/.350/.450 with average defense in CF or plus defense in a corner by the end of 2009. Which is actually really valuable.

I mean, it's possible he'll be overmatched, but I think he could be an Ellis type player in terms of being quietly one of the most productive players at his position and flying under the radar.

This is why I like him so much. He seems like he could quietly be a really valuable player, you know, the kind of playe the writers are always telling me I don't appreciate generally while they completely ignore them specifically.

I like Noonan quite a bit, actually. He played most of last season at age 19 in high A and more than held his own. He needs to tighten his control of the strike zone, but I think he's coming along very well.

I think the expectation for Cunningham is probably someone like Aaron Rowand.

I'd say Markakis is quietly one of the most valuable RF in the game.
I mean, everyone here knows he's great...but he doesn't seem like the kind of guy who is getting a lot of press nationally.

Prototypical "quietly valuable" corner OF:

* moderately high average (290-310)
* moderate HR total
* high walk rate
* lots of 2B
* good defense (range, not just arm)

Think Nick Markakis, Tim Salmon, Brian Giles, Bobby Abreu, Dwight Evans...
