Baseball Cards Stolen in Violent Attack

Officers said the Montour Baseball Card Shot on Broad Street in Montoursville was robbed around 11:30 a.m. when a man walked into the place and started chatting with the owner about vintage baseball cards.

Ronald Aderhold, Sr. said he thought the twenty year old was interested in buying some of the valuable cards.

“And then all of sudden, he stands up and goes, ‘Okay, this is a robbery’ and he pulls out a crowbar and my first impression was this must be a joke.  Then he said, ‘No!’ I said, ‘What do you want?’ He says, ‘I want those Mantle cards,’” Aderhold recounted.

And with that…Little Bobby Costas took out his wal-wal and replaced the recently lost Mickey Mantle card.

The shop owner's story is very suspicious.

I don't think a robbery actually happened.

Why would the robber chase him out of the store, hit him once on the head, then go back into the store and proceed to strategically pilfer 40 cards?

And what 20-year-old thug even knows what a '53 Bowman is? I could see it if it was some nerd, or some older guy...

This is all lies. The store owner is clearly a front for OJ Simpson.

Montoursville is where Mike Mussina lives, FYI.

Why would the robber chase him out of the store, hit him once on the head, then go back into the store and proceed to strategically pilfer 40 cards?

To keep the owner from calling the cops, I'd surmise.

The article never said he does. He took some old Mantle cards, and the '53 Bowman just happened to be one of them.
