The Detroit Expos?

Former major league ballplayer, Nikco Riesgo is part of a group that is looking to purchase the Montreal Expos and move them to Detroit.

The Henri Ford Museum?

Yes, you exist, but you're as dilapidated as anything can be. The urban-explorer types are targeting you this very second:

Riesgo's transaction log is more notable than his stat lines. Yeah, the booty from another great early-90s New York Met trade.

And it's safe to say that there's 0% chance of MLB allowing a second Detroit team. This interview threw a mound of fluff over that outcome.

R: It?s funny you can take a ferry and you are in Canada.

What in the world is he talking about?

They need to do something with Tiger Stadium that doesn't involve imploding it, I hope.

Our prez is a baseball fan - perhaps taking Tiger Stadium under its wing as a national park.

One of the game's greatest stadiums preserved as a national park isn't a bad idea, I think.

This whole plan makes so little sense, I don't even know what to say. I'm stunned by its complete lack of logic.

Apart from the aforementioned line about the ferry, I think this is my favorite part of the interview:

N: Yes and we want to cater to those Expos? fans and sell travel packages.

Right. People who didn't spend $10 to go to games in their own city are going to spend ten times that so they can drive nine hours to see a game in Detroit. They're also going to shell out for cable subscriptions to watch the team on TV.

On the other hand, it's so completely insane that MLB would probably love it...

Adding to Rand's question, I have created a little icon for my website but have no idea how to add it into my html. Any help would be appreciated.

Silliness.

Montreal is as big as Detroit? Detroit's metro area is over 5 million. How big is Montreal?

Philippe: I don't think that makes it as big a city as Detroit.

Ah detroit, the only major US city directly north of Canada.

Ferry? WTF? There's a ferry to Grace Island (as seen in the movie Presumed Innocent) and there used to be a ferry to Boblo Island (amusement park that I don't know if it is still open), but there's no ferry to Canada!

Hello, bridge? tunnel?
