There's a Derek and the Dominoes joke about Jeter somewhere, but a better man than I will have to come up with it.

I saw the Allman Brothers twice a few years back when Dickey Betts was still part of the group. Outstanding.

In memory of Rick Reed

Dickie Betts is the guitarist Carlos Santana wishes he could be.

I love the Allmans, its a shame Dickey and Gregg can't work out their differences, but Warren is better than Dickie now anyway.

Might even smoke those cigarettes.

right but I like the Dickey/Warren combo better than the Warren/D-Trucks combo. Maybe thats just because I dont like derek trucks (and ive seen him both w/ the bros and w/ his own band).

Derek Trucks is alright, good enough to play with Eric Clapton on Clapton's tour last year, but isn't Dickey for sure.

I don't mind them without Dickey, I think the setlist is a little more varied. I just wish they would allow electronic trading. I mean, Mule does, and it hasn't hurt them.

The Yankees' refusal to give Bernie a guaranteed roster post probably made him feel like he was tied to a whipping post.

...made him feel like he was tied to a whipping post.

Only a woman can do that to you.

An evil woman.

OTOH, Dickie could never own a baseball team, because, you know, Dickie Betts.
