Given Bloomberg's resources, they'd do better to make this free for a year and get people hooked. Given the amount of free resource out there, I can't think many people will sign up in the hope this is much better.

Draft kit is $19.95, in-season service $24.95, entire package $31.95, per River Avenue Blues. Can be ordered through MLB.com.

I hope they at least put up enough free/trial content to let people see what they'd be missing.

I pay more than twice this for Baseball HQ and I'd be interested in checking out an alternative.

How's Rotoworld's coverage? All of this in comparison to what can be found for free.

Rotoworld's news is probably the best, along with mlbtraderumors.com. Their projections, dollar values, and some other content is for pay.

I meant the content behind the paywall. Rotoworld is my go to source for daily sports news, and as so if I were to purchase a subscription, I'd like it to be from them, but I'm just wondering if all the content behind the wall is worth is compared to what's available all over the internet for no cost.

I haven't found rotoworld's pay stuff to be worth it, especially past draft day. Seen one set of rankings, you've seen 'em all. Baseballhq is expensive but very useful, especially in-season.

Will Carroll's reaction on Twitter: "Bloomberg has Jonah Keri involved? Worthless."

I had no idea they didn't like each other; they worked together at BP, right?

I know this point of view is weird, but isn't fantasy baseball really supposed to be a test of the player's own analytical and predicative abilities? Doesn't paying for rankings and advice take the fun out of winning?

The big deal here isn't the commercial fantasy product, but instead the professional product - which is unfortunately only available to the MLB teams.
