Boston manages to win

Jimy didn’t screw it up this time. He even pulled closer Derek Lowe when it was apparent that Lowe didn’t have anything. I’ll tell ya something, Arrojo has good stuff and could end up being a major player on this team very soon. He actually showed some enthusiasm when he got the last out. The knock on him has been mental lapses. Maybe if he gets thrust into a late inning role where the game is on the line he could keep focused.

As for the defensive maneuvering mentioned in this article, I wouldn’t put Offerman in the defensive whiz category. Boston’s middle infield has a very hard time turning two and it will cost them eventually. It almost did yesterday as Jeter hit a tailor made 3 hopper to Grebeck that should have been a game ending double play. There wasn’t even a throw to first base because Grebeck gave a poor feed.
