1. Belfry Bob Posted: October 27, 2012 at 07:53 AM (#4284805)Weiss managed his son last year, so that falls under the general rubric of "spending more time with family." Which doesn't necessarily make him qualified to manage an MLB team. He worked in the FO before this year, so maybe O'Dowd already decided he liked him.
