Braves Beachy to 15-Day DL with Sore Elbow

The Atlanta Braves placed Brandon Beachy on the 15-day disabled list on Sunday with a sore right elbow, creating an opening in the rotation that will be filled by Jair Jurrjens.

...

Beachy said Sunday he has had bone spurs in the elbow. He said he didn’t feel a pop in the elbow, so he hopes the soreness was caused by the spurs instead of a ligament issue which could lead to season-ending surgery.

All is not peachy for Beachy.

There have just been too many pitching injuries this year. Somebody's doing something wrong.

I wasn't really worried about the Braves catching us anyhow.

The UCL is the ligament that Hall of Fame-bound R.A. Dickey does not possess.
True story. Well, except the part about the Hall of Fame.
So far.
