Everybody in Braveslandia is super double choked up about this guy, so I spend most of my time pointing out that Gregg Jeffries and Melvin Upton looked really good at 19 year olds too.

Damn. I was hoping Acuna Pipeline, the Braves prospect, was the hitter of the year.

Useless aside: when my wife and I went to a Gwinnett game recently, she said that Acuna looked like he was 12. It may be a baggy uniform, but there was no apparent musculature and his facial features looked very young. Either that, or we are getting old.

So did Jason Heyward, and Wilson Betemit, and Andy Marte.

I would be stunned if he isn't a MLB beast soon. he dominates at every level.

He had 221 AB and 243 PAs in AA this year, where he hit 14 doubles and 9 homers. The Braves apparently asked him if he could repeat that performance at AAA, because he literally did, having 221 AB and 243 PAs while hitting 14 doubles and 9 homers. Spooky!
