It really didn't seem like a great decision to go - the ball didn't get THAT far away from Chacin, Francisco was standing right on third base and took a second to realize what happened, and he's not exactly a speedy guy in the first place. Oh, and there were runners on second and third with nobody out.
Then again, maybe Francisco thought that with the Braves 0 for their last <some large number> with RISP, that he should take the chance. And, maybe due to sheer surprise, Chacin made a horrible throw. But it looks like even with an on-target throw, Francisco still gets in there. Strange play.
