BR.com’s stat of the day

One of the problems I’ve run into is that explaining some of the new features on the site has been a challenge. There are a whole host of tools that are available, but it can be time consuming to highlight the features with examples. So I’ve called upon some guest bloggers to provide examples of the various things you can do on Baseball-Reference.com. Hope you enjoy their contributions. We intend to be adding new content to this blog on a daily basis, so check back often.

With regards to pitchers batting eighth, I thought that TLR wanted to get more at bats for McGwire in ‘98, so he moved Mac up to third yet kept him as a cleanup hitter of sorts. I wouldn’t reccommend cribbing a strategy from the KC A’s myself.
