Bryan Cranston was positively giddy for meeting with Vin Scully

Vin Scully is no anti-dentite!

On Tuesday, the curtain pulled back for actor Bryan Cranston, allowing him to meet for the first time the legendary voice of the Dodgers, Vin Scully.

A California native and lifelong Dodgers fan who earned a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame, Cranston, who probably doesn’t go a day without fielding an autograph request, was awed by Scully’s presence.

“I have been looking forward to this moment for so long,” the “Breaking Bad” actor said. “I’m a little nervous right now.”...

Scully attempted to put Cranston at ease and then surprised him: Cranston got tasked with annoncing the Dodgers and Padres lineups.

Naturally, Cranston, aka Walter White, killed it.

I liked him better as Ericsson in Babylon 5.

At the end when they show him announcing the batters, he actually sounds like the real Dodgers PA guy. Maybe it's a special microphone.

Not sure if your taking the piss?

Cranston is a real pro though. His breadth of work is terrific, why wouldn't he be accomplished at this also?

The odd thing about Cranston is that it really looks like he is a small box medium actor. He doesn't really come across well on film and I think even he might be aware of that as he keeps taking very small supportive roles. I'll also be shocked if we ever see him again with a major role on TV that lasts more than a season or two.

I was at the game last night. He did the PA chores for 4 1/2 innings and actually was pretty good. Then again, he's not the only actor who's done such work at Dodgers games; John Forsythe held the post at Ebbets Field for a while.

Oh, and let's not forget his recent stint playing Lyndon Johnson on Broadway. I guess he is to LBJ what Ralph Bellamy was to FDR.
