[Bucco Blog]:  I’mmmmmmm back!

He was eaten up by a member of the Pirates front office and then by a NY Media group. Now it seems he’s flying solo again and has some interesting news:

The Bucs may have Perry Hill onboard:

Perry Hill?  Last I heard around noon Thursday is that Bone had agreed to a contract. We’ll wait for the big media boys to tell us it’s for real before we jump with joy.

And he issued a challenge to the Pirates ownership group:

Frank Coonelly boldly stated in a Philly paper the other day something like it would take two million tickets sold to make a difference in Pittsburgh.

Yeah, yeah, McClatchy rehash. Don’t kid yourself - the money is there for Nutting to do anything his heart desires with 1.2M fans, much less 2M.

So I propose a challenge to the Pirates:  if the fans purchase 2M tickets in 2009, then you have to open your books.  Frank Coonelly can agree with this challenge in the comment section below (don’t hold your breath waiting for it though).
