Buehrle treats Toronto rookies to new suits in NY

“...Buehrle decided to get the rookies fitted for some custom suits. He gathered Marcus Stroman, Aaron Sanchez, Rob Rasmussen, Ryan Goins and Todd Redmond at the team hotel on Friday morning and then went to one of his favourite spots…”

favourite?  Another good tale about Mark Buehhrle.

Mark Buehrle is a great guy. I did not realize that Mark Buehrle owns any suits, much less has a favorite spot for getting suits.

Of course Buehrle's greatest gift of the day was agreeing to sacrifice himself to the Yankees for about the 103rd straight time. He's the Good Guy's Kenny Rogers, and don't think that Yankee fans don't appreciate it.

Buehrle's greatest gift is not stepping off the mound after every damn pitch, for which every MLB fan should be grateful. Hell, he should be a first-round HOFer for that reason alone.

I agree, and let's make that two gift baskets from The Captain.

A properly cut new suit makes any man feel like a million bucks. If Mark shelled out for the shoes too he deserves a Clemente award.

Most of the people I know (rednecks with law degrees) hate their suits. As a result, they buy really good ones that are well tailored, because they're much more comfortable.

Now if he bought them really good shirts that would be something.

Ted Williams had the right idea about suits and ties.

This is a truly kind and great gesture. I didn't even know Times Square had a Cabela's.

Now I know why someone in my fantasy league released him yesterday. One of the owners must be even more pathologically opposed to suits than Smitty* allegedly (let us not forget that he outed himself here a year or so ago as not feeling particularly negative about trousers) is toward pants.
