In other news, the Red Sox still lead the league in Games Winning After Final Out (GWAFO)...

LoCain is so amazing. I know defensive metrics are weird on a per season basis, but I totally buy his number this season.

#1 is wonderful.

#2 is also wonderful. I don't see a lot of Cain but when I do he is fantastic.

Ender Inciarte was 1st in 2016, 2nd in 2017, and is tied for first in 2018.

wait, am I reading this chart correctly? Cain is 5th, right? No disgrace in 5th place, but are people celebrating Nelson Cruz's HR prowess this year, or Scooter Gennett's BA?

Is this something I rub on my shoulder when it's sore or can I smoke it?

To reiterate my rant(and yes I realise it's petty) but these hyphenated nicknames are just sh*t. If you want to give a guy a nickname then so be it, but pick something creative like big hurt, crime dog or something fun like that.

These nicknames are a manifestation of an uncreative media and I will not stand for it any longer!!

I couldn't have said it any better, HuJo!

See, THIS is why the ligaments connecting modern baseball fans to past generations are being strained to the snapping point, much like Ryan Howard tumbling down the 1B line in a flagging effort.

Hey name police his teammates call him that so you better call the Brewers and tell them to get of your lawn

And let me tell you something my friend, it is a pristine lawn at that. Beautifully manicured as reflecting my nearly 54 years on this earth, so anyone with one of these so-called nicknames is most definitely NOT welcome on my turf! These nicknames are not like ones back on my day. No way, no sir. Back in my day we had real nicknames like Charlie hustle, Donnie Baseball and Oil Can Boyd. Real nicknames when men were men!

And of course, and I repeat this for at least the 10th time, my favourite nickname of all time belonged to a West Indian Cricketer named Michael Holding, they called him Whispering Death. And when you stood at the crease(back in the 70's, no helmets back then) and Michael thought you were scoring a bit too much off him, out came the bouncers at nearly 100mph right at your head. It was legal and it was ferocious.

Is he the same fellow who was Holding the batsman's Willey?

#12....same guy, yes.

I believe the quote was, "the bowler's Holding, the batsman Willey"

But as a bowler was he just dangerous when he was in a mood. Funnily enough he became an announcer later and came off as the nicest, most congenial person you could ever meet.

All his enemies were dead.

My Cocaine is a pretty good English actor.
He was the first choice to star in Directional Outs Above Average after he did that movie with the future ex-Mrs. Matt Williams.
