The Padres had a tied-for-lowest-of-any-month BA in Aug (.245), had fewer than normal SB (19 in 29 games),... and scored by far the most runs (131) in any month. They were pounding the ball, until 8 days ago. Yes, they haven't stolen many bases in the past 2 weeks, but if your team OBP is <.300, you don't get many chances.
Thier pitching, stellar in Apr/May and good all year, has given up more gopher balls in the last week or 2. Which is hard to blame on Ludwick or Tejada.
Fine. But personally, I am going to blame Canepa and Ted Leitner.
I thought it was Coorey what jinxed 'em.
