Chicago Sun-Times: Dodger sues old classmate, alleging smear campaign

What in the name of Chester W.H. Young…is going on?

From a letter about Jayson Werth…..“He’s a deceitful, egotistical ass——who uses his lies and professional career to sleep with young women,” one letter reads, according to the lawsuit. “I’ve spent nearly $20,000 documenting every move this sleazeball has made.”

no, i am dead serious. i hear about all these girls marrying rich guys who are dogs and i wanna know if any one of you guys would be perfectly cool with being married to a rich woman who cheats on yall. a lot.

Well not everyone marries for love, I'm sure plently women realise they are trophy wifes and have their things going on, on the side.

Baseball chick-- that was Guy Ritchie who said that, not me. Personally, I would never want to be married to a famous person, regardless of how rich or good-looking they were.

I sorta surprised we haven't seen more HIV among pro athletes. Magic, Wiggins, any others?

NASCAR star Tim Richmond, who died in 1989.

well, i guess that i wouldn't marry someone i didn't love. or respect. because i could never respect a man that promises to "forsake all others" when you both know he ain't gonna, and is lying when he says it.

Bingo. The "it's a long road trip" deal works in both directions.

Others on the HIV/AIDS list: Arthur Ashe, of course; Washington Redskins tight end Jerry Smith; and a male figure skating star named Curry whose first name I don't recall because I don't follow the sport closely.

baseball chick, I love the continuing education about the male mind that we Primates provide you.

FWIW, it depends on how hot, how rich and how discreet she is. A fourth-generation hottie heiress who doesn't run through the tabloids and significantly boosts my standard of living? I'd have to at least think about it.

That stuff is not what was creepy about the Christie story.

Agreed. But the person I was responding to asked.

www.latowski.de As my brother (Pops) pointed out, our last name isn't that common. It's funny to look at the pictures, especially the changes of men to women.

I saw Mark Grace at a bar when he was on the road once and he picked up a couple of beatiful co-eds and left with them. Luis Gonzales, who was with Grace at the bar, left the bar by himself.

I'm so sick of players like Jayson Werth and Albert Belle . . .

OK, now there's a running joke that really needs to be revived. It was probably the best one we've ever had.

"Magic, Wiggins, any others?"

Boxer Tommy Morrison, who's notoriously irresponsible about it.

Hornacek. I think he used to brush his cheek or something as a sign to his kids. Jason Kidd does something similar. (Blows kisses to his wife?)

Tug McGraw used to slap his glove on his thigh as a signal to his wife that "It's all right, I'll take care of it."

He notoriously did this about 8 bajillion times during Game 6 of the 1980 World Series, in between every pitch because he was so excited.

And by "I'll take care of it," he meant, "I'll have a one-night stand with someone and father a kid who'll become a big music star..."

Mark Grace is pretty well known as a leech, Rick Suffice out right said that his daughter learned to never date ball players by spending so much time around Grace.

And Grace was the first baseman the Cubs kept?

I guess Grace went for single women, at least.

Well, the important thing is he didn't go for Ryne Freakin' Sandberg's wife...

Rick Suffice

That's a bad name for him -- as a broadcaster, he doesn't.

The showing he loves her stuff is fine, didn't Jeff someone (played for the Jazz) used to do that too?

Hornacek. I think he used to brush his cheek or something as a sign to his kids.

Yeah, it was some sort of family thing, I believe. For you native Chicagoans out there, Hornacek is a product of Lyons Township HS in LaGrange, who went to college at Iowa State.

(And, ftr, I'm an alum of Downers Grove North HS, Class of '85.)

"Christ, this a major metropolitan newspaper and they can't fix the freaking grammar?"

I think someone else mentioned this at the beginning but its not freaking "Glenbard" HS. Its GlenWOOD HS, near Springfield, IL, and they probably got that part wrong BECAUSE of their status as a "major metropolitan newspaper" in a much bigger city 3 hrs or so away rather than despite it.

would any of you guys marry a rich famous woman (ok, beautiful, too) who had plenty of other male sexual partners?

No, I wouldn't.

Of course, I say that, but if I had fallen in love with such a person, who knows? Le coeur a ses raisons, que le raison ne connait point.
   126. User unknown in local recipient table (Craig B) Posted: November 17, 2004 at 04:35 AM (#969712)
Incidentally, my objection isn't to the sexual partners. It's to the famous part.

Just to be clear Rick always said these things in a very loving way, and to to rip Mark at all.

Having just listened to Jon Lovitz doing a DVD commentary on a Simpsons episode, I want to shoot Craig B right now. He seems a suitable proxy.

There were drunken Red Sox in a bar right across the street from me and I missed it? And I thought the Leafs fans going crazy (including climbing all over the cab of the unfortunate trucker who happened to arrive at York and Front as the ACC was emptying out) was spectacle enough.
