Concern for Pedro a sore issue for Sox: Painful loss for ace, teamby Jeff Horrigan

Can somebody explain to me why Jimy pulls Pedro versus the Yankees after 90 pitches and he is feeling good but allows him to throw 110 when he can’t get loose? By the second inning, I felt something wasn’t right with Pedro as most of his fastballs topped out at 88-89 mph. I am sure Jimy and Kerrigan knew about it. This is yet another Jimy contradiction. I..am..slowly…..going…..insane!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, it's obvious isn't it? Williams has been letting Pedro thrown fairly high pitchcounts all year and he's felt fine. Then he limits Martinez to only 90 pitches, and Pedro has trouble loosening up for his next start. Voila! The solution is to keep Martinez out there for 110+ or 120+ pitches each outing and he'll be fine for the rest of the year.

Nay! After dispassionately defending Williams for yanking Martinez after 90 pitches earlier, let me be the first to label him an idiot this time. Ahh, I feel better already.
