Larry Bowa: "I just wanted to say that Bobby Abreu, Scott Rolen, Travis Lee and Pat Burrell have all had their struggles this season, and that lack of production in those spots in the order has been killing us lately."

Bowa might have the Reddest Ass in Baseball. I always disliked him as a player. I enjoyed watching him crash and burn as a manager the first time around. Now I can rest easily, knowing eventually the same thing will happen again. Larry, half the teams in the league would kill for a foursome as promising and talented as those culprits. George Steinbrenner would be glad to take Scott Rolen or Bobby Abreu off your hands. Let me get you Brian Cashman's phone number...

A manager popping off over a star's 5-for-22 slump is like a scientist getting mad at gravity. You can't beat Mother Nature, Larry, and you're gonna go nuts if you keep trying.
