Denver Post.com: Harrington likely to see a cut in pay

Matt Harrington didn’t sign with the Rockies and it is likely to cost him a lot of money. The Denver Post says he did it our of principles. He could make somebody look brilliant as a second round pick.

Screw the $4M. He'll still get plenty. And now he doesn't have to pitch for the Rockies. If he doesn't get hurt, and he's as good as they say he is (BIG if's, I realize), in the long run he'll be much better off.

As a Yankee fan, I'm hoping Cashman and Co. decide to spend our late first pick on this kid.
