I'm something like 5-0 or 6-0 when declaring the game over.
Eh, I don't think walks make it count, especially so early in the game.
that and like i wrote last night and a few weeks back he has lost weight. any reds fans know the scoop? did votto catch the flu or something? he looks way too lean
Okay then! [X]
The guy totally sucks, no good team should have him on the roster (rolling my eyes since we don't have emoticons)
And Bochey quickly goes to the pen. 5 innings from the pen last night. Will need 6+ tonight.
he looked so lost in san diego and pittsburgh i left bad for him.
Day game after a night game. Just standard op. procedure in Cincinnati.
Kid, you hit a home run, but you are still Gregor Blanco.
Gregor Blanco does something awesome [ ]
740 OPS, 3:1 K:BB with bases empty
804 OPS, 1.5:1 K:BB with runners on
887 OPS, 1.1:1 K:BB with RISP
The even worse RISP split wouldn't be explained here, and neither would Lincecum's runners on splits not breaking down perfectly by windup/no-windup base-out situations.
Edit -extra points for it being a second baseman
Conradian is supposed to be on a simple play. I missed the error (stupid "rest of the world"), what exactly happened?
Lincecum isn't the guy I'd want out there in a leveraged situation with runners on. With Leake on second, maybe he can just say #### it and go to the windup?
Sometimes I hate modernity.
And, if it should come to that, he could probably spot in Bumgarner as a loogy against Votto or Bruce.
Not that I know of, although I think the 18-inning game between Atlanta and Houston was apparently close to it: if Clemens got too tired or got hurt, they'd have had no pitchers left because the only one left was in Atlanta preparing for a possible Game 5.
Was assuming he would save Affeldt for that, so that would leave one less arm to get through the other outs. I am more worried about Lud right now
Did the Reds put Cueto on the DL?
Babe Ruth did twice with the Red Sox :)
That's my understanding.
I was distracted, but I assume this was the rain-soaked Pedro 6-inning one? I remember watching that game and thinking baseball couldn't get any better.
This game single-handedly rescued my baseball fandom. I was growing bored with the game until that little dude bled his way through those six innings.
Sure, channel LaRussa and have him bunt. :)
h+eh miguel cairo. If the Reds make the WS I would bet Dusty will give him a DH start
Yeah, I will next page.
Cairo having value is the most surprising thing I think I will see today. I remember when I first found this board, in am thinking about 2004? Yankee fanboys ranting about him on here was some of the most entertaining stuff.
