These are some ######## calls against McClouth.
The 3-1 was a great pitch. The 3-0 was in the other batter's box.

I can't imagine bunting for a hit with Teixeira right now. Not that the alternative worked well, but any play where he has to hustle down the line (even with the shift) just seems like a bad idea.
   717. Matt Clement of Alexandria Posted: October 10, 2012 at 10:39 PM (#4262759)
I'm just happy it wasn't a Teixeira walk-off. Granderson, that I can take.

I hate the geeksploitation show.

I hate the "we'll show you proper respect, sir" ads for investment companies.

I hate that David Robertson is a great relief pitcher because of his fastball release point.

Jeter fouled a ball off his foot, although there seems to be some uncertainty as to whether that led to him leaving the game. He had a bone bruise on his ankle, so he might have aggravated it.

Robertson's pitching backwards, brilliantly. Using the fastball mostly when they're looking curve.

Yes, their 2000 and 2001 wins over the Duluth A's and the victories against the St. Paul Rangers in '96 and '98 were quite memorable.

   790. Chip Posted: October 10, 2012 at 11:07 PM (#4262840)

Ball game.

Ichiro would have beaten that out.

Robertson practically Conraded, but he makes the play. Not sure I like the hit and run there.
   794. Gamingboy Posted: October 10, 2012 at 11:08 PM (#4262844)
Yes, it was Conradian, but now the Yankees will get a cheap-ass YS homer to end it and the only hope for the Orioles will be that Phil Hughes craps his pants tomorrow and then CC Sabathia gets food poisoning before Game 5.
   795. Joyful Calculus Instructor Posted: October 10, 2012 at 11:08 PM (#4262845)

I thought so too.

Man, Robertson tried his darnedest to choke away the game. MEatball to Thome, screens Teixeira from a pop-up, muffs a ground ball. But to no avail.
