By the end of the day, at least two teams will be eliminated since baseball is a cruel sport and October is a harsh mistress. Or something like that.

if folks can claw their way on base ludwick can tie this s8cker
I know that it looks suspicious to have a major league athlete just keel over of a heart attack, but this accusation seems a little much.
EDIT: Bourbon to the Samurai
His father died.
His father died.
Granted that I know nothing about advertising, but it just seems like the Transformer thing was a bad way of showing a good feature. I mean, who needs to pause something and watch it immediately in the kitchen when they go get a soda (or whatever it was). However, it happens all the time when I'm downstairs watching something and I need to go do something (like drive somewhere). Later that evening when I'm upstairs and I want to watch the rest, it's nice that I can just resume.
Same with the original Tivo ads. They had a guy watching a football game. His team was down and they were going to kick a field goal for the win. He pauses the game, drives to church, prays, drives home, and unpauses. The field goal is good and he cheers. Um, that doesn't make me want Tivo. I didn't understand why I'd want to pause things until I actually saw it in action. Show two people watching a show in a split screen. Doorbell rings. Maybe it's publisher's clearing house and guy 1 pauses and answers the door while guy 2 doesn't want to miss his show. Or guy 1 pauses, answers the door, comes back, and watches the show, while guy 2 answers the door and misses some crucial part of the show. Or (separate scene) guy 1 is doing his grocery shopping, and stops to talk to a pretty girl, gets her number, comes back home, and starts watching his show. Guys 2 rushes through the store, ignores the girl, and still misses the start of the show.
These things are obvious now, but 10 years ago they were not and Tivo did a terrible job of educating people on why they would want one.
Why not just send Frazier up there against Kontos and have at it? Top of the order to follow take a chance to get a base runner and get an inning going.

With one out and no one on. Now of course Bochy is overthinking it and letting Affeldt face the righties.
Wrong Brennaman, Harvey? Or 'a chip off the old block'?
swung at a pitch a foot outside
Starting Zito in an elimination game.
Leaving in Cain with the tying run up.
Leaving in Affeldt to face Ludwick.
I was working off my observation of Ludwick as much as the numbers. Ludwick is a guy who really struggles with good RHP breaking stuff.
Now, I'll have to look up whether this is generally true for throws left/bats right players

The Giants radio guys mentioned the trainer met him when he entered the dugout and was talking to him about something. Pretty vague.
just one more hit and this is a real nailbiter
easy
hanigan and stubbs get on and then pinch hit for the pitchers spot
I was thinking "who the hell is Ross?" then realized the other game was on now too.
Are you ####### kidding me.
(So why'd he wait until today? Because, I got to say, if he's trying to make this a "win for the Gipper" thing, that's... kind of unsettling as well.
Although now that I think about it it probably just kind of leaked out.)
HOLY HECK ANGEL PAGAN!
My wife is home nursing our newborn son all day. These TNT starts keep messing with her Law & Order DVRing!
