Division Six OmniChatter

By the end of the day, at least two teams will be eliminated since baseball is a cruel sport and October is a harsh mistress. Or something like that.

I don't think that was a baserunning blunder, it was a contact play.

Adam Jones has been A-Rod-bad this series.

Well to be fair, her Tasha Yar career was pretty miserable too.

Seriously. 2nd worst character on the show behind Dr. Pulaski, and Dr Pulaski wasn't blocking a much more interesting character like Tasha was.

did the orioles get the same shipment of sh8t juice that the reds used?

"Land of Hope and Dreams" still hasn't gotten old for me. One of the best rock songs of latter Springsteen.

Agreed, though the Orioles incompetence is making everything in the world seem horrible right now.

Greetings from BART on the way to the Coliseum. It has been overcast all day and is now drizzling. Don't know the forecast, but a lengthy rain delay after, say, inning two would not be a bad thing for the home nine.
   837. Jose Can Still Seabiscuit Posted: October 11, 2012 at 08:40 PM (#4264890)
Squanderiffic. This game is shaping to be lost on an error, neither team can get a clutch hit.
   838. Gamingboy Posted: October 11, 2012 at 08:42 PM (#4264891)
Trying to come up with who would provide the inspirational quotes for the Athletics. Mainly because, despite it having no connection to Oakland whatsoever, I can't help but think of Tyrion Lannister yelling out: "Those are brave men knocking at our door. Let's go kill them!”"
   839. Gamingboy Posted: October 11, 2012 at 08:43 PM (#4264892)

Thanks for the suggestion. I like Wheaton (at least on twitter), and Wesley didn't really bother me other than the horrendous last episode he was in.

This sure does not feel like a 0-0 game. Neither pitcher looks good at all.

I'm cheering for Ichiro and friends, but they aren't looking much better. A lot of them look old and tired. I keep expecting to see an interview with Joe Girardi saying "Like Custer, we will make a stand!"

   895. Mike Emeigh Posted: October 11, 2012 at 09:16 PM (#4264958)
The Pirates released McLouth on May 31 after he posted a .385 OPS in 34 games. The Orioles signed him to a minor-league deal five days later. He didn't hit all that well in Norfolk and was only called up because the Orioles were auditioning outfielders all year once Nolan Reimold got hurt. Sometimes you just get lucky.

This opportunity comes once in a lifetime yo
