First thing I notice is the high strikes -- also Willie Mays at his peak was a joy to behold

(and who was the genius who batted amalfitano, kuenn, and alou at the top of that order?)

This was great. Thanks for posting. I liked when Dizzy talked about Crosley being a hitter's park.

Old Diz had as much trouble pronouncing Amalfitano as Harry Carey would later have with some Hispanic names. When he first came up he said, "Joe Fontano"and when he scored he called him "Alfamitano."
