The Dodgers needed more pitching depth.

I haven't followed him. I assume they still plan on him being a starter in the future, but used him in relief in AAA to prep him for a late-season run in LA? Steamer thinks he's already a frontline reliever.

The plan is still to make Buehler a starter long term, though it's possible he winds up as the next Joba Chamberlain.
