The O’s have already been banned from Korea, maybe they’ll be banned from signing washed-up pitchers?
Pitcher Dontrelle Willis is filing a grievance against the Baltimore Orioles, alleging that the club placed him on the restricted list and is preventing him from signing with another organization even though he left the Orioles’ Triple-A affiliate with the consent of a team official.
Willis received permission from Tripp Norton, Baltimore’s director of baseball administration, before leaving the Norfolk Tides last Wednesday, said agent Matt Sosnick.
Dan Duquette, Baltimore’s executive vice president of baseball operations, didn’t immediately respond to a phone call or email. But Duquette told CBSSports.com on Monday that Willis left Norfolk without the organization’s permission. Duquette added that the Orioles would welcome Willis’ return and think he can be a successful reliever in the big leagues.

1. Gotham Dave Posted: April 25, 2012 at 12:19 AM (#4115477)Has D-Train ever walked out on a team before? My perception of him is that he is a good guy.
If this goes to arb, the O's credibility will be at issue.
Did no one click through? I am surprised you guys missed this epic burn.
Speaking as a Jays fan, shhhhhhh. The last thing we need is a good old jynxing. One would think throwing around words like "a lock" about an AL East team's performance would be off limits on BTF.
