England batsman Trott admits being obsessed with American football and baseball

Trott also disclosed that the England cricket team is working along American lines to make their dreams come true.

“I love America it is a great country and sometime I get a bit of stick because all I want to do is go to America and watch sports, but it is really fascinating for me,” The Daily Mirror quoted Trott, as saying.

“The two sports I really follow are the NFL and baseball and the stats they use really appeal to me because there are so many columns to look at. Everything is counted and it lets you know how you’ve done, when you’ve done it and what the outcome was,” he added.

“In baseball they play nearly every day, so they log everything like we do on file, so when a team comes up again they have all these facts and percentages. We have the same thing on what the pitch will do, what the bowler does and where a batsman gets out,” he said.

I get the feeling that he is just making terms up.
