ESPN adds Hershiser to `Sunday Night Baseball’

The network hasn’t announced it officially, but Orel Hershiser has been added to the ESPN “Sunday Night Baseball” booth, replacing Steve Phillips, who was fired last fall.

The rest of the three paragraph article gives the source of this news as Jon Miller. So, uh, I’d imagine that it is correct.

The camera loves Orel. The baseball boogie bunch proved that.

This is great. I love Orel. He's worked well with Miller in the past and he's also dexterous in his analysis to work around Morgan's increasing surliness and intransigence.

Orel is a huge improvement. Wow, I can't believe they didn't add Sutcliffe if they were insistent on three guys in the booth.

As David Pinto put it, "Oral Orel."
